UK & Russia in ‘tit-for-tat’ – pray for Eurasian Mission College and Russian believers

Sergei Skripal and his daughter are fighting for their lives following a nerve agent attack. The UK and Russia expel diplomats in a ‘tit-for-tat’. Increasing notes of condemnation are being expressed from Western leaders and we may wonder where this will end?

Will it ‘blow over’ just like the snow we’ve recently had from Russia, the ‘Beast from the East’, or will it continue to escalate over the coming weeks and months?

We ask especially for your prayers at this time for the Eurasian Mission College, in Kazan. [The capital of Tatarstan, a sovereign state within the Russian Federation.] – see some pointers for prayer below;

  • That we will be able to continue safely transfering funds to support the running of the College
  • For a number of church leaders and our personnel who plan to visit the college during the year – as it may become increasingly difficult to acquire the necessary Russian visas
  • That unfolding events will not lead to dramatically increased scrutiny and opposition for any Christian institutions with clear links to the West
  • For all Christian missionary, evangelistic and discipleship endeavours across the Russian region – specifically for a great work of the Holy Spirit – as history teaches us, the Gospel often flourishes the most in times of opposition and difficulty

Will you join us in prayer?
